The Olson Candles Story: Better than "Big Candle"

The blueprint for Olson Candles didn't start in a boardroom; it started in a high school entrepreneurship class. What began as a "hypothetical" business plan for an A grade soon sparked a realization: I could turn my obsession with scent into a real-world reality.

Growing up, my mom always had candles burning from the big name-brand stores. I loved the atmosphere they created, but as I got older and did my own research, I realized those popular candles were almost always made with paraffin wax—a petroleum byproduct that isn't great for your lungs or your home.

I knew I could do better. I set out to create a candle that wasn't just "cleaner," but one that actually smelled better and threw scent further than the mass-produced versions I grew up with.

I spent my spare time experimenting with premium wax, lead-free wicks, and high-quality fragrance oils. I wasn't just looking for "good smells"; I was creating something personal, meaningful, and safe. As a proud pet parent, it was non-negotiable that my products be safe for my "fur babies" and the environment.

Today, Olson Candles is the result of that mission. Every hand-poured candle, wax melt, and car diffuser is crafted with clean, eco-friendly ingredients and a whole lot of heart.
